In that letter he also informed him that he had quitted his old business and started a new business of shoes. He was leading an honest life. He was going to marry the finest girl in the world within two weeks. After he got married, he would sell out and go West, where old scores would never touch him and his future life. According to him, she was an angel. She believed in him. For her, he vowed not to do any crooked things anymore. So, he wanted to give him the burglar’s unique tools. He, therefore, asked his friend to meet him in Sully's place on Wednesday night.

There she meets the finest girl of the earth, Annabel Adams. By her sudden and sweet touch of love he is transformed. He turns his life to a new phase. Jimmy is really a reformed person. He abandons his plan to rob the bank in Elmore. He wants to cut his ties with the past and give away his burglary tools. By ignoring his danger he saves Agatha and willingly surrenders himself to Ben Price. Thus he turns himself into a new man –Ralph D Spencer. The influence of love, compassion and faith can do such miracles.

Ans: When Jimmy was released from the jail, his jail uniform was taken off. He was given a suit of the villainously fitting, ready-made clothes and a pair of the stiff, squeaky shoes. The clerk handed him a rail road ticket and some five dollars. Criminals like Jimmy were given such things.
