Thousands of people have become homeless, and many have lost their belongings and livestock. Communication has been severely disrupted as roads and bridges were damaged. Electric supply and drinking water systems were badly affected. Rescue teams from the State Government, NDRF, and Army have been working tirelessly to rescue stranded people and provide them with food, shelter, and medical aid.
